American River Sunset Maternity Shoot

This area along the American River in Sacramento has been a go-to spot for my family and I this summer. It’s shallow waters that extend half way across the river and the sandy beaches shaded by the Oak, Walnut, and Maple trees, make it a perfect place to bring the whole family. So, when Alex and Cole came looking for a location for their maternity photos, I knew this would be a stunning spot! With the sunsetting down the length of the river and the golden light giving the foliage a fiery sparkle, we all felt that we had something special by the end of the days shoot.
