lovely Chrissy Field Wedding

Its a Monday in November, your wedding is this Saturday and that pit in your stomach feels deep… You rush to your smart phone and open the weather app immediately.  Fearing the worst you see rain on the forecast in San Francisco!!!! Abject terror fills your body. Then a sigh of relief, the rain is on Friday and Saturday. Looks great, but will it hold? Every chance you get the rest of the week you are obsessing over the weather.  Checking different apps and looking out your window to see the cloud cover. Why?! why?! Am I driving myself crazy about something I have zero controls over? Yet alas that’s just me as the photographer wanting everything to always be perfect for my couples. I know how much time and effort they put into organizing and planning their weddings and that’s just in a normal year… This is 2020, nothing is normal or right and everything always seems to be on the brink of disaster.

None, absolutely none of this is what Maggie and Mike felt the week leading up to the wedding. Yes, they checked the weather and saw that it was going to be nice on the wedding day and were definitely overjoyed about it. When you meet these two amazing humans you realize that the only thing leading up to the wedding that mattered was the chance to look at each other, say their vows and then “I do”. Kiss kiss kiss and walk hand in hand down the aisle. Everything else was a bonus! And oh boy did they get a lot of bonuses… 65 degrees, clear day with no wind and stunning blue skies. Chrissy field never felt so good. The small wedding with mostly close family was just beaming at these two and all helped to make this day perfect for them. Toss in some dry aged beef cooked to perfection, some amazing wine (Pinot Noir, Maggie’s favorite) and the rest of the day was a blur.
